Age of Earth Question - 9/12/12

I thought the slideshow was really cool! It blows my mind to think that some or most of the rocks have been there for so long. I think geologist think that some rocks are 6,000 years old because if you dig into the rocks you will find layers, in the layers you will find fossils of organisms that could be proved to have lived at least 6,000 years ago!

I think that layer 3 would be the newest layer that was formed because it wasn't effected by the break labeled B. Layer 1 and 6 are the second newest because they weren't effected by the tilting that happened. Layer 4 and 5 are the third newest because they were effected by the tilting and they were also effected by the intrusion B. Layer 2 came before the break B so it is the second oldest. The order they go in is, 3 then 1 and 6, intrusion A came after 1 and 6, then intrusion B came before 4 and 5, and 2.
