Age of Earth Question - 9/12/12



I thought the slideshow was really cool! It blows my mind to think that some or most of the rocks have been there for so long. I think geologist think that some rocks are 6,000 years old because if you dig into the rocks you will find layers, in the layers you will find fossils of organisms that could be proved to have lived at least 6,000 years ago!

    I thin the layers indicate great age because you might find fossils of dinosaurs, for example, that don't live on the plant anymore. You could also find organisms that were first just starting out, but now the organisms have evolved so that shows us that it had once lived a long time ago!
